On August 16, 2022, Madam Rosemary Senyamule, the regional commissioner for Dodoma, received the Freedom torch from the regional commissioner for Singida. This was a component of the Freedom Torch Race, which also served as the formal introduction of a number of social development programs. TMA has been one of the development stakeholder in Dodoma hence was asked to take part on August 17th by the development partners.
TMA set up a booth to educate the general public on various aspects of interventions undertaken including designing health, education, environment and cooperatives systems and sectoral operations and the services provided by TMA and Affiliated companies. The reaction was supportive that about ……residents of Changombe Street participated in the event together with regional district officers, local artists, and a delegation of parliamentary members from the Freedom Torch race, all of whom were present while maintaining a high level of unity and solid security. TMA as one of the development partner in the country specifically in Dodoma offered support including facilitating the children that participated in this activity with……..and were incredibly excited and full of enthusiasm. In addition to sending greetings to Her Excellency President Samia Hassan Suluhu, they took over the stage and danced, sang, and read poetry.
The commanders who oversaw the Uhuru race applauded TMA and were most admired by the populace way children were encouraged and shown love that permeates for the nation as evident in their piercing yet friendly eyes. Access to a good education and the freedom to play gave high hopes and will shape this country’s future. Along a torch-lighting ceremony held during the torch race, Changombe Health Clinic was inaugurated giving Changombe residents easy accessibility to healthcare services and medical treatment.
