The Second Cooperative Research Conferences was organized by TCDC and Moshi Cooperative University to inform cooperative stakeholders about the research carried out over the year in relation to the development of cooperatives in Tanzania. The conferences also served to inform cooperative leaders and stakeholders about current issues and suggestions for enhancing the economic security of cooperative members. The decision was reached in the previous year 2021 that the conference should be held yearly, and this was the second such gathering. Involved parties and leaders from cooperative societies number over 600.

The first conference (2021) adopted a resolution that TCDC should lease with major ICT providers to hasten the use of ICT services in all cooperative societies. TMA was mentioned at this meeting as a result. “Tume ya maendeleo inaendelea kuwasajili watoa huduma ambao wana gharama nafuuikiwemo TMA ambao wanaendesha program tumizi (App) ya SpeedyFinances,Pamoja na wengine kama ambavyo watapatiwa muda wa kuelezea mfumo’’ TMA was given space during the conference to present the Speedy Finances system, which attracted many members, particularly AMCOS, who were eager to sign up.

Additionally, TMA had a booth at the conference where it promoted its own products and those of its affiliated businesses, such as Speedy Finances. His Excellence, the honorable guest the deputy minister for agriculture, Antony Mavunde, took the opportunity to stop by the TMA booth and praised the organization for its excellent work in developing ICT systems that will address many of the problems facing the cooperative society, such as corruption, favoritism, theft, unsatisfactory business practices, and general subpar services. For COASCO to conduct its external audits of cooperative Societies using the system, he encouraged COASCO to collaborate with TMA to improve the fast financial software to include an External Auditing Module.

At the end of the conference, TCDC and MUCO gave a certificate of gratitude to TMA for a job well done in delivering ICT services to the cooperative societies that also enhanced TMA and Speedy financial visibility.
